The 10th Day of November

Everybody can agree that birthday balloons are some of the funnest toys that have ever been created. Hitting them back and forth between you and a friend is a great way to relieve stress and boredom. It was the latter that Rachel and I were trying to conquer when we found a green balloon left over from her party and started hitting it. not two minutes later a small push from me and the balloon was headed straight for the fire detector. *Crash* The fire detector was on my lap. Rachel and I started laughing histerically but them realized we could be in some pretty serious trouble if it went off so we started yelling around for an RA and we were soon comforted when Lauire, the our neighbor dorm section RA, thought it was rather funny too and promised that she would have campus services come and fix it. That was just the beginning of the completely random day that I had. (Well actually it started earlier in the moning, see I was trying to send something in the mail and I was expecting to pay around three bucks for it but no---$5.05---CRAZY!!!!!!!!At that point I was starting to wonder about the day. On a side note the locks to the main doors of the dorms were just changed-who knows why-I think the administration likes to frustrate us. So when Rachel forgot her ID at breakfast and she had to use "the phone" to have her roomate come let her in(I call it "the phone" because it is to call security if you get locked out after curfew-it has that cool circular dialer). This is all because our RA, Becca Sue, has failed to give us a copy of the new key-Becca Sue, I might add, basically ran out of gas yesterday and had to park outside a strip club until someone came and picked her up*Scary*. Thankfully most of the people that go to those types of places don't come out till night!
AND THE DAY ISN'T EVEN OVER YET!!!
Next thing that happened is that Jessi who lives in room 22 was having really bad pressure in her ear and when I took her to Nurse Ellen she sent her to the emergency clinic down the road-turns out she has a very bad ear infection and the doctor gave her vicaden to help with the pain-she was pretty excited about that!!! Then came registation and all of the stress and running around and computer jamming that goes with it-along with the enterance of the previewer that happens to be staying in Ashley and my room for the night-talk about stressful! Oh well, the completely random and stressful day has past and I have made it out alive. I guess it is those types of days that make life interesting. Oh, and a complete determination to find an online radio station that plays continual Christmas music-any suggestions?!!!!

Ab's for Andy

Here is the new excersise program that is picking up steam here at school and will soon be an all out trend. It's called Ab's for Andy because well... my brothers name is Andy and were doing it for him(well I am at least, the other girls are doing it for other reasons). Why am I doing it for my brother you might ask, well I'll tell you. You see he and his girlfriend Anna are getting married in May and to be in shape for the wedding I realized that drastic measures needed to be taken. So now we meet every night in my room(24) and we work on our ab's, legs and arms-swiching between arms/legs and ab's so that we give our muscles a chance to rebuild themselves. This wonderful program that doesn't take but 15 minutes of your time has really started to become a popular thing to do. In fact what started with just Rachel and I has now turned into 8 girls trying to smush themselves into my tiny room that barely holds two and accomplish musclehood! It just goes to show that if you have the motivation and determination to start something, anything is possible!
